At recently held IAB MIXX Awards, the campaign Executive Group created for Grand kafa, “I Couldn’t Believe it was Real Turkish Coffee” won the award in the category of Best Digital Video Campaign of 2019!
Our digital team is on the roll! The effort of the digital masters working for Grand kafa once again resulted in great success, as our campaign “I Couldn’t Believe it was Real Turkish Coffee”, made for Black’n’Easy brand, won the title of Best Digital Video Campaign in 2019 at this year’s IAB MIXX Awards. The award ceremony was held at the end of the annual “Digital day” manifestation, honouring the best digital campaigns in the previous year.
Black’n’Easy is easily one of the most significant innovations in the coffee industry in the region, as it provides the buyers with an opportunity to prepare proper Turkish coffee within minutes - without a coffee pot, wherever they are. Based on the simple insight: “due to its simple packaging and compact size, people are not convinced that this is the real, proper Turkish coffee with full flavoured taste”, our team decided to play with the surprise when people actually make this coffee, by using a series of funny videos starring a popular actor.
We created the campaign around the simple line almost everyone says when they try Black’n’Easy – “hey, this is the real Turkish coffee!” It was successfully combined with a charming personality of Branko Djuric Djura, known and loved all over the region – the digital video communication was actually “behind the scene” footage of TVC featuring the actor. These charismatic, intimate video sequences were created for digital only, and they naturally pointed out the product’s full functionality – ready in a minute, all set to go!
